A Pleasure Anglers Paradise

We have four well stocked coarse fishing ponds
within 500 yards of the house.

Coarse Fishing

The fishing of these ponds is FREE to guests staying or day tickets can be purchased from the bank.

Treat yourself to a days fishing or just relax and unwind
for a couple of hours after a days sightseeing.

Totalling an acre and a half of water in gently sloping valley,
the lakes are stocked with Common and Mirror Carp,
Tench, Bream, Golden Orfe and
Golden Rudd and vary in depth up to 6 feet.

The four spring fed lakes provide a variety of fishing, catering
for the pleasure angler who wants to enjoy the beauty
of the surroundings to the more dedicated fisherman who is looking for a good days catch.

The first pond you approach from the road is primarily a Tench Pond with a few skimmer Bream. The next two ponds, one of which has an island, contain mainly Carp some weighing well into double figures. These ponds also have a mixture of Tench and Bream.

The larger top pond again contains mainly Carp, but also has a selection
of Golden Orfe and Golden Rudd.

Parking is on a hard track adjacent to the ponds and a toilet is on site.

If you wish to have a match we can reserve a pond for you.

Bait - Floating bread, maggots, sweetcorn, luncheon meat

Tickets - Day Ticket Adults £4 two rods, Under 14 £3 one rod, Extra rod £1 each. Season Tickets available upon request.

Anglers are requested to use Barbless hooks only, not to use boilies or keep Carp over 2lb in keep nets. No night fishing.

Directions B3181 Cullompton to Exeter. At Merry Harriers turn towards Clyst Hydon. Right after hump back bridge. Right at T Junction. 100 yards on left.
